Brent received a Distinguished Public Service Recognition from that office in 1997
*Served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Bryant prosecuting traffic, misdemeanor, and code enforcement cases in the Bryant District Court
PUBLIC DEFENDER
*Brent has served as a part-time Saline County Deputy Public Defender since 2008, representing indigent clients charged with crimes in Saline County courts. He also represents them in appeals of their cases before the Arkansas Supreme Court and Arkansas Court of Appeals.
COMMUNITY/OTHER
*Teen Court: Brent has presided in the past and currently presides over the Saline County Teen Court as a volunteer. In Teen Court, high school students participate in the criminal justice process in real-life cases including deciding an appropriate punishment for juvenile offenders
*Saline County Youth Sports: Brent sponsors and supports Youth Sports in Saline County including the annual Wally Hall Tournament of Champions which is held each year in Saline County

*Brent was born June 29, 1960, in the Fort Benning Army Base Hospital, Georgia, USA. He was raised on a family-owned cattle, hay, and timber farm in Montgomery County, Arkansas. Brent is married to Lori Standridge. They have 2 children: Paige Anderson, who works for Brent in his Benton law office, and Trevor, a student at Caldwell Elementary School in Benton. Brent and his family reside in Benton and are members of the First United Methodist Church in Benton.
