PROBATION & PAROLE REVOCATION PROCEEDINGS

Brent's experience with probation laws and probation revocation proceedings dates back to the time he worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Arkansas Attorney General's Office.  While there he worked on numerous appeals involving probation laws.  During legislative sessions he was one of the attorneys in that office responsible for drafting legislation concerning the law of probation and sentencing.  Additionally, he served as legal counsel to a state agency known at that time as the Arkansas Adult Probation Commission.

Since then, Brent has been involved in probation revocation proceedings as a prosecutor and as defense counsel.  His representation of clients in these matters includes representing them at hearings, if necessary.  He may be able to negotiate the case out with the prosecutor to keep probation from being revoked or to minimize the punishment a client may receive upon a revocation of probation.  Brent also assists clients who are on probation but are seeking a modification of their probation conditions or to be released from probation altogether.  Additionally, Brent has represented clients with respect to parole revocation proceedings as well which, oftentimes, coincide with new criminal charges a client may have received.  He also represents clients in proceedings wherein a suspended imposition of sentence is sought to be revoked, and such proceedings are very similar to probation revocation proceedings.

If you are facing a parole or probation revocation proceeding or need help regarding your probation case call our office today for a free initial consultation.
